Ahh c'mon Rob! You got to ride in it before my girlfriend did!
Thanks for all the comments, this thing is sweet!
Details: -EVO VIII GSR -70,000 miles, running 22psi -Godspeed intercooler -Godspeed throttle body -HKS RS intake -Perrin IC piping -Hallman boost controller -Autometer boot gauge and A/F gauge -Blitz turbo timer -Vortex generator
I'm really happy with the car, but I'm thinking of getting the rims powder coated. They are just painted flat black now. Opinions?
I also want to try and get some EVO 7 taillights, or I might just get these painted.

I matched the colour of the EVO 8 rims I took from you yesterday. Theres a few close colours, nothing exact. Swing by and we can refurb those painted black ones to near stock in colour for ya. PS, thanks for the ride, and for not pointing at my boner Rob, I'll have to coordinate a time to get the tires removed so I can bring the rims up. I love the stock grey on an EVO 8 wheel. Looks so much cleaner. I also had a boner when I was driving, so thank you for being too preoccupied hiding yours to notice mine!

Jay's exhaust thingy is the same way so I am thinking he wanted it that way, looks good. Ducts are for brakes?

Bought my Evo X in the states, the savings was unreal. Buying an already imported 8/9 or a clean X in Canada is humorously ridiculous. If you look at the trend of Evo 8-10 prices, they are not going down much. So hang onto it because before you know it, it will be a highly sought after car. I thought about getting a 9 for a DD, a clean one is going to run you $26k. LOL.
Oh, and buying stuff across the border is the greatest thing ever. I probably go every 2-3 weeks. 4.4L jug of Mobil 1 synthetic is $22.... Do you typically declare everything when you come back? What do you tell them you're going across for - shopping? Maybe I should get you to grab me oil - Royal Purple is 50% of the price it is here...it's disgusting how cheap stuff is there.

I do 90% of my shopping in the US, some local but most is shipped to my friends place, I just tell the customs I'm going to pick up my mail or whichever local place I'm going. I cross probably 5 times a week so they are all familiar with me now but it has never been an issue. The American's like us spending our money down there. On the return back, just show your receipt for your purchases and you're all set, if its more than $50 they'll likely make you pay taxes on it, but you usually still save a good bit. If your purchases are less than $50 they'll usually(I'd say 99% of the time) just let you go as it's not worth their time to collect such a small amount. I've been lucky though and declared $75-80 sometimes and still not be charged. Just be sure to declare, it's not worth the trouble of getting caught. They get to trust you as well and things just get easier.

Peter, you and I use the same place in the States to have things shipped, I'm pretty sure I saw a set of beautiful new slicks with your name on it a few months ago!

Anything I buy in the States, I ALWAYS declare. Like Jason said, it's just not worth the hassle. I find if you're honest with them, they treat you fair. Funny...I always have NO issues getting IN to the States, but coming back I always get interrogated, even though I am always very clear in what I was doing across the border and always declare everything. I've been across the border countless times (and across many of the different ones) and without fail the Canadian guards for re-entry are almost always assholes. And this is usually at the least busy times of day/week for them, too, because I refuse to cross whenever there's likely to be a crowd. (Weekends, holidays, etc.)

Peter, you and I use the same place in the States to have things shipped, I'm pretty sure I saw a set of beautiful new slicks with your name on it a few months ago! I use USaddress but my system is complex, lol. My brothers or parents tell me when they need to order stuff online from the States (mostly Amazon), I coordinate their orders with when I need to pick up stuff I ordered. Then I go pick everything up. This week I have to pick up a kitchen sink, 2 bathroom sinks and 3 faucets for my bro and tons of auto detailing stuff for myself. Then my wife and I go to the Walmart and buy misc things. You'd be suprised how much cheaper things like moisturizer, motor oil and shaving razors are in the US. People may think it's not worth it, especially since I live in Toronto. But my bro's sinks/faucets orders would have cost an additional $500 + tax if he bought the identical ones in Canada. I'm also currently looking for a SUV for my wife in the US. As long as the Loonie is standing strong to the greenback, I'll be shopping in the US for most purchases.
