I thought about getting a 9 for a DD, a clean one is going to run you $26k. LOL.

Oh, and buying stuff across the border is the greatest thing ever. I probably go every 2-3 weeks. 4.4L jug of Mobil 1 synthetic is $22....

Do you typically declare everything when you come back? What do you tell them you're going across for - shopping? Maybe I should get you to grab me oil - Royal Purple is 50% of the price it is here...it's disgusting how cheap stuff is there.

I do 90% of my shopping in the US, some local but most is shipped to my friends place, I just tell the customs I'm going to pick up my mail or whichever local place I'm going. I cross probably 5 times a week so they are all familiar with me now but it has never been an issue. The American's like us spending our money down there.

On the return back, just show your receipt for your purchases and you're all set, if its more than $50 they'll likely make you pay taxes on it, but you usually still save a good bit.

If your purchases are less than $50 they'll usually(I'd say 99% of the time) just let you go as it's not worth their time to collect such a small amount. I've been lucky though and declared $75-80 sometimes and still not be charged.

Just be sure to declare, it's not worth the trouble of getting caught. They get to trust you as well and things just get easier.

CBSA is RIDICULOUS!!!! EVERYTIME I go, my car gets searched, I get harassed like no one's business. And I have a spotless record. It ails me to no end.

LOVE THE EVO!! tu When you're looking to upgrade your crappy steering wheel to a nice sparco or momo, let me know. I'll take that crap off your hands wink

In this thread, there is a lot of discussion about boners.

In another thread, some people are calling each other butt pirates.

So I finally had a day off, only because everything was closed. The weather was nice so I decided to get some work done on the EVO.

I have a butt load of parts that I've purchased over the winter, so it was a perfect opportunity to get things started.

Winter parts collection includes:

-SS brake lines
-ATE super blue
-Fresh Brembos
-RPF1's/ 255/40 Star Specs Z2's
-Grimmspeed master cylinder stopper
-Beatrush license plate bracket (got pulled over a few times for not having a front plate)
-Nesei Slim battery tray
-Odyssey PC680
-New brighter gauges (the stock ones are so dull!)

[Linked Image]

Brembo's installed! Teaser pic of new wheels!

[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Next step, getting my tires mounted and rolling this thing out of the garage!

By a show of hands, how many people hate the stock EVO 8 altezza taillights?

[Linked Image]

I am not a fan of them at all. I bought a spare set of EVO 8 taillights with the hopes of just getting them tinted red to make them look like EVO 7 taillights. Those of us with blowup dolls or fleshlights know there's just no replacement for the real thing!

[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

OEM EVO 7 Tailights! They completely change the look of the car. I <3 them.

Sadly, every EVO 8 comes with these piece of sh*t rice bag taillights. Most owners get the EVO 9 ones, or spulge for JDM goodness.

In 2002/03 the R&D department at Mitsubishi was headed by a rice loving honda owner who that Altezza was the new thing.

I think it was the very first mod my buddy did on his RR Evo VIII.
