My transfer case is covered in dirt and carbon, not pretty either. But then again, my car gets its ass kicked daily, no trailer queen here

It is an IM from a 97 talon. Nothing done to it besides some TLC.

Guess I've never seen a car running a 2G IM then, because it looks foreign to me (looks like a 1G, but with some modification - which I assume is what Mitsue did).

A little tid-bit from the engine. Finally getting time to work on it again Just need some nice black foam/silicone to keep it safe for the paint and it's all done! Bigger, better and most importantly cooler air intake.

Never paid enough attention to the manifold to notice, since at first glance they look quite similar. That and nearly every 2G I've seen in detail is running a 6-bolt swap and/or an aftermarket IM, if not a 1G IM. Remember, I'm not much older than some of these cars ('90 baby) - I wasn't playing around with them when they were 'new' like most of the guys here were!
