Just a heads up to let you guys know I will be going on a much needed vacation soon. I will be leaving Oct. 1, and returning around the 20th. During this period, Paul will be "running the show" here. He is going to be basically filling orders, and answering phones, emails, etc.

He will likely NOT be doing any purchasing during that period, so there will be no "special orders" brought in during that time, and anything we run out of will stay out of stock until after my return. It MIGHT also be that he won't be really quick responding to questions, as he will be pretty busy.

Please keep this in mind, and if you have an upcoming project, please try to order soon.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding, and your past, present, and future business.

Ziggy at RTM Racing.

Thanks also for the space.

So what you are saying is October 1st is "RTM Dry Day"? Where we try to order you out of stock of everything, aka order you 'dry'? Used to try doing that with a group of 60 people at a small town bar...usually could run them out of stock of 1 or 2 types of beer, but the hard alcohol was nigh impossible.

In any case, have a good time off. Headed anywhere exotic?

LOL, please do order us dry, LOL. I think you would be very surprised how much inventory we actually have...

Going to Germany to visit family. My wife has NO-ONE over here, ALL her family is there, so this is really NEEDED every so many years..And while we are there, we will visit my relatives, of course....and I just might sample a German beer (or 2) smile

Have fun Ziggy! Don't forget to check out the Autobahn, if I recall correctly they're closing it down.

The "autobahn" is not a single road, but a series of highways, sort of like our "400 series" highways. They have instituted speed limits in a lot of areas, especially highly populated areas. I THINK there are still some areas that are unlimited.

I drove on the Autobahn back in 1982. I remember my first time, I had only been on a few minutes, and a cop merged onto the road from the right. Instinctively, I got off the gas and tried to slow down so he wouldn't "catch" me speeding.....and then I remembered it was legal, so right back on the gas. I had a 5 cylinder Audi back then that would do 220, but it didn't feel stable in the curves, so I slowed down to 180 for the curves.

Wrong- The Autobahn is defined as a magical network of awesomeness in which cars/trucks and buses are observed in a rare state of "petalonflooritis". This causes a surge of adrenaline and involuntary erections

We won't be doing too much sightseeing. We will be covering a lot of ground and visiting quite a few people...but I believe that the VW museum WOULD be awesome.

And Luc, I stand corrected

Love Germany. Planning for Octoberfest 2014, instead of just my wife and I, there is going to be about 12 of us going over. Been there twice for a total of 2months between the two visits, but never got to Munich.

Trier, Freiburg, Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Coln, Hannover, Wernigerode, Berg Eltz, Wurzburg, etc... etc...

One of the neatest sights I went to see was Autostadt. Some things to appreciate as a car nut.

I'm not sure about that, I've got male intimacy issues--probably something to do with all sisters and no brothers growing up.

Screw schnitzel, have some authentic German Goulash! Mmmmm it's been years since I've had good goulash.

You're making me hungry......but I don't think weizen beer will be common in October. That is more of a summer beer.

I LOVE Jaeger schnitzel and I love Spaetzle, and my mother makes the best beef Rouladen. Spaetzle is more of a southern thing, won't get down there this trip. Did you ever try Schweizer Wurst Salat?
YUMMY!!!

Hey everyone.

We're having some issues with the entire server that hosts RTM Racing and it's forums. The site is not shut down, but being that it's holiday Monday, not much going to get done today. Hopefully things will be back up and running shortly.

Sorry guys, I was away for most of today. I'll be looking into the situation with the site, but until it's back up I guess orders will have to be placed via email or phone.

The site's back up. Turns out it was a problem at the web-hosting end. Apparently all is fixed, so it's back to business as usual. Sorry for any inconvenince and thanks for your patience.
