just remember to put it into neutral before starting the car with the switch unplugged, or have the clutch pedal depressed. but for the problem, i'd unplug that switch and see if it works. 2 second job

I definitely knocked something loose under there that's tied into my Compustar alarm system. Now the battery is draining Possibly a bad ground. I think it is anyways, it's a wire that's tied into a screw at the base of the clutch pedal assembly and it's all cut up and torn. Not sure what else has been knocked loose under there, but I guess I'll find out eventually. If anyone can help that'd be great, but it's already getting dark out. Heading out to meet someone for dinner now without the car *sigh* Edit: I have one of those flashlights that strap to your head and a clean driveway if anyone wants to help me out tonight. Beer too. At least my clutch is now adjusted right!?

follow the clutch petal all the way past where it pivots and you should see a button that it's pushing, follow the button to a connector and disconnect it. leave the one that it hits when you push it down all the way, that is for CC

Found the clutch switch and unplugged it. No go.
Now it's an electrical problem. Battery is almost dead as well.
Could use some help before Saturday night, as I have an annual practice meeting I'm supporting and have to lug a bunch of gear down to a hotel.
I'd hate to have to do so via TTC with a bunch of gear. Actually I probably can't, too much stuff.
Thanks in advance.

theres a fuse box there too, have a look inside. maybe it will become obvious to you if something looks out of the ordinary.
a lot can be wired through that area. after market gauges are the most common along with after market alarm systems. check "black" wires and their grounds, check wiring that has been taped with electrical tape (most likely if it's been moved and not soldered/crimped together with a connector, it can cause a drain)..
do you have a pic so we can see what you're dealing with?

Thanks a lot Mike, for texting me earlier as well. I will have a pic tomorrow after I take off the side panel in that area to get a better look. I'll just start ripping stuff out and start fresh. Yes you're right, most of the wires under there are all taped together.

No crank at all. I tried disconnecting the main harness that goes into the alarm and nothing. This happened once before when I picked up my car from a shop recently. The starter cable was disconnected, bypassed, car started, then put back and car was fine. This time I didn't touch anything under the hood, was just performing a clutch adjustment as per Jack's transmission's video, and bumped some wires by the clutch, and bam, no start.

lol at stephen, thats first thing i said too start with buying yourself some wire connectors, and one at a time, take apart the taped connections and connect them properly. you'll no doubt get your problem solved, and have proper connections.. your 2 second job turned into MAYBE 20 minutes if you have the right tools; - crimper/cutter/stripper - maybe some side cutters to tidy sh!t up - zip ties to keep the wiring out of the way of your feet and pedals, - patience.. you'll get it!

wire connectors, and crimp them not once, twice, but three times, evenly distribute the metal clamp inside the plastic shield. then you can wrap it with electrical tape..and remember to lightly tug on the wires to check you have a good crimp. http://www.14gaugespeakerwire.net/images/speaker%20wire%20connectors%202.jpgthey should look like this

Thanks guys. Ugh. Here we go.
Hopefully I can get the car going before Saturday night.
By bypassing the starter I meant he started the car from under the hood at the starter itself.
Edit: How am I at wiring? Never done it, well other than inside computer cases, but never really had to splice wires. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in North York just north of the 401 east off of Yonge on Finch. Whoever is coming to help, if anyone, please bring a charge kit or something. I think my battery is almost dead.

Do you have soldering iron Michael? Soldering is easy, put the gun on the wire, let it heat up the wire, touch the solder to the wire and have it melt into the wire. If you iron sucks like mine then you have to touch the iron to the solder and then kind of spread it over the wires.
