Ok I thought this deserved a post all its own! Since things have changed.

This weekend will be a full weekend of racing in the Quinte Area!

Sep 29th 12-5 Armdrop racing in picton
http://www.armdropdragracing.com/
$20 to enter- $5 to watch!
There will be:
armdrop racing
show n shine,
Canada’s fastest jet engine dragster!
Trophies for everyone!

Then on sep 30th, 9-5 Shannaville Mix-n-match!
http://www.shannonville.com/
$35 to play $5 to watch
There will be:
drag racing(hopefully the timer will be working)
Track racing(awsome road course)
$35 lets you play on the track and the strip at any time all day.

There will be all kinds of racers, Tuners, Muscle cars, trucks, full out drag cars and rail cars, bikes, even seen a few snowmobiles!

I will have my flat bed at hand incase anyone needs a lift back home.

Ryan will be erecting the ClubDSM gasibo and banner!

I think it could be a blast if we get a good turnout!

Won't be there Saturday (unfortunately), but will be up for Sunday. Need to crack into the 12s before I get rid of the 14b.

FWIW, DSMs usually dominate the Shannonville Track. We could turn it informally into our own CA DSM Shootout as it were. wink

I will be rocking the Club DSM Canada Banner I made for the DSM Shootout.

Ryan where do you set up? I might come out with the ralliart and spectate , which day are you setting up the gazebo?

If your doing this at Shannonville where do you setup? Just trying to picture it in my mind. Its been awhile since I've been to Shannonvile and I'm not sure with this mix and match where people "hang out".

I hung out at track side in the pit area of the road course, then its a long walk to the staging lanes where I hung out there. This year Ill be in the stageing lanes . There is a field between the strip and the road course where I assume the gazebo will go up..

I'm actually not too sure where we're going to setup. RTM Racing will have a booth at the Armdrop, that is confirmed. We will have some goodies there for sale as well.

As for Shannonville, I'm hoping to setup for RTM there as well but we haven't got any reply back from them yet. Either way, it will be quite visible.

This was a good event for RTM Racing. Lots of advertising, and a great amount of interest generated.

The event itself was not as organized as most would like. I went for the Fastest Sport Compact trophy and humbly lost to an Acura RSX pumping out in excess of 800WHP in the final round and took the runner up spot.

I was also going for the King of the Street Trophy, but nobody announced it and when I went to ask what time the runs were at, they were already over.

All in all though, had a great time.

That's right, you lost to a HONDA!

That's OK though because I didn't even make it that far.
That RSX was pretty mean looking.

Hopefully they had plans to be better organized and were simply overwhelmed by the attendance. I think they could have had an accessible booth to show standings and times for when you were supposed to run next. Maybe a set time for trophy presentation.

Overall still a fun day and will probably be back next year.

Claimed he made over 600lbs of torque! but wasnt using race gas for this race.. said THIS tranny wouldnt handle it, He has a tranny for running race gas. Aperantly he swaps out trannys for each accasion. I think he was trying to tell me that he was very tuned down for this.
