I am in close partnership with someone who has designed and is in the test fitting/testing phase of building custom smim. We are wondering if anyone else would be interested in one for a lot cheaper then a brand new name brand intake. We will need your oem intake manifold in order to keep the cost down on flanges. Will be identical to a magnus style and all your sensor holes will be drilled and tapped (i.e meth, map) and pollished. Pricing will be $450 and if you want it ceramic coated can be added for an aditional cost. If you want a picture of the test fitting before final weld I can send it to serious buyers. These will be an identical to the much more expensive ones at a really good price, we can also make it cutomized to any setup you want.

Please email me if you are interested or have any questions timbi_t_51@hotmail.com

Thanks for the space.

How are you going to get serious buyers for this without offering any pictures?

Not to rain on your parade, but have you looked at the going rate of some other "proven" SMIM's on the market? Some of the other options such as JM Fab or Magnus run in the $5XX range for their street versions. These are proven designs with all kinds of info to back them up.

Maybe others will think differently but to me that doesn't seem like much of a savings to run an unproven design.

If you guys read the post it says if your serious ill email pics. I can't post pics from photobucket from my phone so I have to email them, and any advice is good advice but I also said in my post its being tested so we can sell a working product. The cheapest one I found new is $510 before taxes and shipping and duty so 450 is fair. If a few people are lined up I'm sure the price can be negotiated. Not looking to get rich just thought I would help a few people out. Me and Nick gallo will be running these.

Definately looks like a Magnus intake manifold. A good friend of mines really wanted to make me an intake manifold too for free. I went and bought a JMF Race instead smile

Intake manifold is just one of those things that I'd like to see some real world testing #'s before I'd purchase.

For a Magnus copy I doubt your gonna get any hits for $450. Why don't you guys come up with your own design ?

I've always had the idea of a manifold where all the runners meet in the middle and the throttle body pointed up, dispursing the air equally. like the exhaust manifold.

Not sure if there is any benifit, just one of my crazy ideas.

Stock.

I was actually going to go and buy a JMF race manifold but I thought I would try this first. Even if its is a bit better than the stock 2g turbo intake manifold its an upgrade. Plus it will look a lot better in the engine bay over the stocker.

We were originally going to try a different design but I could only think of FP's fatboy coffee can intake manifold...

the style is a pretty commin style .. every one only seems to be worried about the style of it ... peoples should be asking what about the welding process of it .. how are the welds on it and whats being used to weld it ( tig , mig ) and out of what aluminum with what filler rod ..

Good point. That is why I went with the JMF race, its one quality piece. The Magnus Cast intake manifold was released right after I already purchased my JMF, otherwise I would have went the Magnus v3 route.

Can't beat the fit and finish of the JM Stuff I build all my own parts but not my manifold cause I don't think its possible to make it better then it already is. And I'm very very picky smile
