Out of curiosity, did you buy the brackets for it (which require some metal carving to make it fit) or did you get the JDM knuckles?

Somehow I had a feeling the knuckles would be a possibility Mitsumissile still sells them from Taipei Japan on tuners if you need a guy to have them shipped from.

I shoveled the snow off the roof of my car today and there was at least 50cm of snow on it. All from the last two snow storms we got.

The stock Evo wheel is 17" x 8", 35mm offset, 5x114.3 mm bolt circle, 67mm centerbore.

They provide adequate clearance on a Brembo brake upgrade which is nice .

I would say that is probably the best size and offset for any DSM. 35mm seems to look and fit the best, same as my RPF1's. They look nice on a 2g, similar to Rob C's car.

I had 35's and a 225, I honestly think the +35 sticks out too much in the front. The front fenders were not flush with the 18" racing hart c3 evo's I used to own.

Also, it required rear quarter rolling. Which is a must if upgrading the width anyway.

I'm running 235 for now, with the +35 I have room for 245, which I'll probably do when I need some new tires. Right now the tires are pretty much perfectly flush with the fenders. Rears are rolled, and I'll probably do the fronts at some point.

The Evo's are popular, but not nearly like the RPF1's, those are everywhere in the states.

What's the minimum offset you can run with the Evo Brembo's?

Its not specifically the offset that you have to worry about, its also spoke design itself.

Typically +40mm is the ideal offset for a 2g rim. This will basically center the wheel to achieve the most clearance.

Not that I want to join the ranks of "sheeple", but the Brembo setup appeals to me. And I guess I'll have to cross that bridge (fitment) when I get there.

Just read a msg from a MOD on tuners, apparently those stock Evo rims are a +38mm O/S. Which makes sense, seeing as you're flush with the sidewall of your tire, and not the rim.

Yeah I saw a picture recently of the backside of the wheel where that's engraved.

I just realized that the "factory" 2g rim used in those spreadsheets I just posted the link of is of a 205/55/16. NOT MY STOCK SIZE OF 215/50/17.

The sheet is based on 95-98, which came with 16" wheels, not 17" like your 99.
