Nexen is like Hyundai. Nice and cheap to buy from new, but in no time, they're crap and you get what you pay for. I'm just sayin. What sort of driving do you want to do Mike? Are you thinking of a UHP, or A/S tire?

Yep, but the threshold of most manufacturer's for UHP tread ware is 300 on average. Up to 340 in some cases.
300 COULD last you 50,000 kms. But likely you'll see 30-40k.

I'm going to quote Chris Farley here;
Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting. Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.
Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted? [chuckles until he sees that Ted is not laughing]
Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times. Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of sh!t. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.
My point - Hyundai sells a warranty. Their residuals STILL suck and depreciate faster than Fords do.

What I'm going to say is that with the top tier performance tires, you will not be able to push these tires to their limits "LEGALLY" on the street.
Lets be honest here, with a 20+lbs boosted DSM, will you be able to push this accelerator to the floor "LEGALLY" on the street? But we all still want that power and are more than willing to put in the money for it.
I love the fact that I can make left turns at lights in excess of 70kmh without squeeling on well paved roads, or attacking an on-ramp at 120kmh in the dry.
When it comes to handling, tires are the number 1 factor.

Since this is not the topic of this thread, guess we'll just have to agree to disagree PS: If your a Honda nut swinger, I might have to stop helping you with DSM advise

Has anybody used or know anything about Marangoni Tires?
Has anybody dealt with Tiretrends.com?
