1993 called, thay want their headlight covers back Hater I still like them, I missed 1990-1994 period with these cars lol Call it my wayback playback. During the day isn't such a big deal... but no one takes these off for the night time. That's my beef. I've seen more than a few that hit deer/animals because they couldn't see them. Perfect, that's what I want to hear (well not the hitting animals part). I was indeed going to remove them at night. Just want to cover my set of clear 1gb headlights during the day from rocks and whatnot. These are why I want to protect them: They cost me a pretty penny and are ubber rare, so want to protect them as much as possible, chances are I won't find another set anytime soon.

You can get lamin-x or 3m film, in different clear or tints as well. Buy a roll then cut to fit.

Here's mine after a new set of prescription sunglasses from Mr Lee That's Dr. Lee Yeah I missed that era as well, and kinda wish they had these for 2gs. Haha. Looks sick! I also told you they attract unnecessary attention! But yeah only for use during the day. you forget, you pay.

Just want to cover my set of clear 1gb headlights during the day from rocks and whatnot. Good plan. Rocks sleep at night time, and are predominantly flying into cars headlights throughout the day. The one advantage of the North American Wild Rock is it's shape. Rounded and blunt making it aerodynamic through the air as it flies into your headlight.

Actually, without all the sarcasm, it's true. Most rocks and debris comes from freight trucks which are more predominant during the day. Not to mention all the guys that haul stuff personally (usually not having it covered correctly hence leading to small things coming out at highway speeds) are also during the day. You'll get the occasional car flinging one but it's mostly the trucks. You can disagree if you want, I go by experience. Besides I know the covers aren't usable during the night and don't feel like endangering anyone by using them, that's just plain ol' dumb.

Wait so I'm confused... You waited and paid a lot of money for clear headlights, and are now hiding them behind covers? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? It took me forever to find my clear 1Gb lights and corners. So much so I actually kept them after parting my car out for the future, knowing how rare they are. But damn it, I was flaunting those things while they were on the car Well who truly appreciates them the most? dsm guys. Everyday people couldn't give a hoot on the fact they are clear. I'd rather keep them pristine for local meets, dsm road trips and whatnot. Considering the abuse my 2g ones took in Brampton before, I don't want a repeat with these gems (specially since I work construction and this car will take me to and from those construction sites). On another note, they truly come to fruition when the headlights are on, which is at night. During that time, the covers are off and flaunting the crispiness and look of the headlight in all its glory.
