No I don't think so, I would prefer if we did this when it was a little cooler out anyways. The cars were struggling a little last year.

Aim for the middle of/end of September or are we thinking June?

See the second cruise we went on last year was not to the track we just stopped in Ancaster and then took the ring back, in that case I don't think it matter as much what the weather is. Although cooler is always nice.
I am going to put a rule for this one, we won't be waiting for people this year, within reason. If it is me that is making the schedule again this year, every time that I post is the time we are leaving a location so be sure to be there before then. Deep was running really late last year because of reasons not under his control and that sh!t on our whole schedule for the day. I am not a morning person but got up early for the cruise so that we could be home at a reasonable time, but that didn't happen. Also if you decide to invite people on bikes, tell them they better quit smoking for the day cause it was extremely annoying for us to wait for them at every stop last year. [/rant]

Well we stopped at a montanas in ancaster, denny's would be good too, I can't recall what else there is there, but we can google that later.
Do we want to do the hamilton ring again, I really love it for the roads and for the view.

the two last year were sweet... I used my buddys gopro and filmed most of the second cruse, unfortunately I don't know what to do with the huge video files I have. LOL, I told you I would upload but I am still missing a file, I think the second or the third piece.

I like that idea! It would be nice to see some new roads. May I request if we decide to do Bancroft that we do it on an MLRC event day. I don't mind doing the agenda again, I just need someone who knows the road like I had last year (Tim gave me the details on the ring and some other roads around the area).

JUNE 23RD is the next one, after that not until September. I would be tempted to run but would need to find a really nice person to borrow rims and tires from while I am there.

Im still job hunting, which is nice because it leaves much more time than school to tear a car apart. Im in the middle of the toyota plant application process for 20 bucks an hr! Cant find anything school related booo. My point is if I am making some big dough in a month or so, maybe I can find another 2g eclipse to daily! they are getting cheap I like the economy of my 97 acura EL right now too though. Could make it a little go cart, VTec is meh tho, NO BALLS lol So yea, life is in limbo but cruise to the track is always the best, eff drag racing (Yes I said it). Bring some real balls to the road course.

Hey Guys, so it seems this thread kind of died so I guess our next track day will be when it starts to cool down again. How much time does everyone need in advance to make sure they can attend?
I would assume sunday would be the day we go as that's what we did last time. I figure we can do an invasion in the next little while and then we can do another when it cools down and hit cayuga.

Well, if you guys still want me to plan a full-out route, I can, but it would probably be for an Invasion closer to Fall, as I know I won't be free till after the Shootout/August for anything of the sort.

September is good for our invasion to the track as it should be cooler by then. Is that what everyone wants to do? I think we should meet at a restaurant though, as I would love to eat before we head off to the track.
Salomon, I will dig up the route from last year and you can take a look and see if you want to make any changes.

East to Picton/Trenton area!? I love Prince Edward County.
Okay someone break it down for me. Been there many times, but I just called it by 3 different names. Picton is in Prince Edward County. PEC is a larger area than just one town. To make it simple, Picton to PEC is like Richmond Hill to York Region, etc. Trenton is it's own town/city and is not part of PEC. Trenton is directly west of Belleville. PEC is separated from the 'mainland' by the Bay of Quinte. And yes, it would end up in that area, but pass through many other areas up North. It will be a long route, but a very, very enjoyable one.

If the invasion is in the Quinte Area, DSM'ers are welcome to camp out on my property. I have a large driveway, plenty of tools, and a garage for use. The sooner we figure out a date for this, the sooner I can book work off, if necessary. The first 2 weekends of Sept work great for me, the second 2, not so much.

Well, it wouldn't start in the PEC/Quinte area, but it would end there, at least that's how I visualize it going down, and then people could cruise back/camp/etc. as they please.
Saturday the 7th would possibly work for me. Otherwise it wouldn't be for a while after, at least not on a Saturday.

1. Salomon Ponte 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
Time: Leaving 7:30 AM. (This means be there, ready to go by 7:30. Aim to arrive early).
Route: Full route TBD, but leaving from East end Toronto (Scarborough) or further East (Pickering/Ajax area) and finishing in Quinte/Prince Edward County.
I will try and map out and run a route over the next weekend or two, including gas stations (I will just be making note of Petro Canadas, anything else will be up to you guys to figure out).

Why start in Scarborough? Brampton area guys could meet up and start there, then meet everyone else in one or two other locations along the way.

Saturday because it's going to be too rushed if it's a Sunday...everyone will have to drive back home and get ready for work (or school) the next day. My first day of classes is that following Monday (Sept. 9) and I've got other stuff to take care of on the Sunday, including finishing moving stuff in Waterloo. And personally, I'm busy almost every other weekend in September, as well as every weekend after the Shootout in August. So, it would have to be October, otherwise...at least for me. As for the route, I'll have it done within a few weeks, but it'll be an early start because with the exception of a few people we'll all have at least a few hours drive home if not longer, not to mention people want to bbq/go to Sandbanks/etc., so that needs to start at a reasonable time. If people want to meet up elsewhere and start earlier, that's fine, but I'm going to set a start location and a start time based on the route (and its length) and it will be up to everyone else to get there. I am perfectly content to spend a day driving by myself, I do it as often as time allows. Btw...my starting time will not be later than 8am, whether the route is an hour or 5 hours. Most car clubs that do cruises (BMW clubs, Mazda, etc.) are ON THE ROAD by 7. Consider yourself lucky you get to sleep in

Sandbanks is like the Caribbean of Ontario. As long as I'm running I'm down, BUT, I might be at a stupid annual business practice meeting. I'll double check the dates. No other possible dates before September?

So here's my question...as I have it planned out now, it would probably be a 6-7+ hour drive from Toronto and going East going through all sorts of country roads and ending at Sandbanks. Personally, I'm fine with this but it may be longer than some of you guys want.
If you guys think it's too long, I will make it a cruise out in strictly the East side (Quinte area and further North of there - Madoc, Tweed, etc.) that will still last a good number of hours and still end at Sandbanks. That being said, everyone will still need to get out that way anyways, so it may just be nicer to do it via country roads as I have planned now.
Let me know what you guys think.

Can we get to the sandbanks sooner than that? Of course, then we'd have to do it where everyone is responsible for getting out to (probably) the Cobourg area and then we go from there, spend ~4 hours cruising and get to Sandbanks for lunch time. I'd still want to start the cruise by 8, otherwise there will be no getting to Sandbanks early, just means everyone not near there needs to suck it up and get up early!

I would love to actually visit the Sandbanks for a solid 3-4 days. Camp out sort of thing.

Blocked at work. Alright. New plan. Drive will start in Cobourg at the gas station RIGHT OFF the 401 at Exit 472 (Cobourg/Gores Landing). The address is "490 White Street Cobourg, Ontario" See store details here. They have 94 there. From there we will set out at 8am. I will have to drive out and figure out a route, but the goal will be to be at Sandbanks BY 1pm latest, including another stop for gas during the drive. Is everyone agreeable to this?

That sounds pretty good. we did a drive through Prince Edward County a few years ago.
I would probably hook up with you as you are making your way through Trenton; Wooler Rd Exit #522

County has lots of road to travel on. IIRC Eric K and Ryan mapped it up last time.
I could assist in choosing the route over a beer. I'm sure we could find the time one evening while at the SO.

Yeah I would start a new one with that info, or wait till you can post the route and then start a new thread.
