You would hope so.
I wonder how much that would effect flow, although I don't think it would be too bad.
I definitely wouldn't like the fact that the alt and downpipe are basically kissing each other.

I like it. It should flow better than stock, it's got a t-bolt clamp so it's easy to remove, and I don't think it's any closer to the alternator than the stock O2 housing? But no I wouldn't have gone to the trouble. Especially grinding down the welds like that
