As much as I like the design of the CSL hatch, I'm not paying for this garbage fitment.

That fitment really is terrible and i am sure it's not a cheap piece.

That's why sometimes brand names are there for a reason. That thing was only sold via a small group buy and a new "vendor" from tuners.

This guy adjusted his and the fitment is good afterwards, it's brutal that you have to make these adjustments but it's at least an option.

Is there a brand name option for CSL?

Well the other option is to get a brand name hatch and make the spoiler separately or make the BMW one custom fit on yours. I've heard too many bad reviews for different reasons from that guy selling the hatches Jason showed that I'd never bother ordering anything from him. He uses sub-par resin that shrinks later. That and he's not too good in getting perfect surface finish (many guys had thumbprints in the resin or defects in the finish)

It still bows up over the 1/4 panels. Sergio actually PM'd me on facebook after I called out the quality and says they've made a new mold and the new hatches coming in January will be better. I'd have to see some results before I'd buy it.

Yeah would like to see that too.
He has a few picture where the fitment looks really good but would be curious to see what it's like on some other cars.

I just bought a hood and sunroof plug from this guy......

I have had my doubts on his quality but parts are scare for these cars so sometimes you have to deal with whats available....

I'd really like the Andrew Brilliant replica hood, but if his quality doesn't get better then forget it.

Thats the hood i'm getting. Need vents for road racing so i'm taking the chance. I'm not going to be super critical on fitment. I'm keeping the expectations low.

Close to 500 is not cheap. It may seem so, but ask any of your non-car friends tongue

Your car friend right here is telling you $500 isn't cheap, I realize that most name brand ones go for more but 600+ but still.

Ive been making the best of the holidays! Finished fixing acura problems that needed attention for crazy winters. Today was a great christmas with my 2 best buddys, 2 grinders, a drill, and 3 wire wheels.

A little less brown (rust)and black, and more silver (bare metal/primer). Felt damn good! Removing seam seal, and surface rust to visualize the seams is showing parts of the body to still be in great shape. been messing with camera settings, will need to try again for the next batch, hope to be home more often soon!! Being away is taking its toll on me. Getting this car done needs to become a priority, even if it means compromising lap times and revisiting things later.

That is some fantastic work Mike! tu

But if I were at this stage, I still wouldn't cut corners just to get behind the wheel "that" much sooner.

Good man. But I brought it to the dealer to get the master cylinder done (recall service) and it fucked up the "heavy-ness" feeling, as well as the grabbing point. They said there's nothing they can do now, because it's an aftermarket clutch in there. They also are not warrantying any of the work, because of the above.

Not. Happy.

Took about a week of driving to feel comfortable with the pedal again. So it's not as bad.. but yeah. What can you do right? That's what happens when you deal directly with the dealer (no offence to Acura)

Sounds more like they fucked up and don't know how to adjust it. I haven't yet seen a vehicle that you can't adjust the friction point, heavy-ness not so sure about. Could be a smaller bore master. I am not sure of the recall details.

I have to manage my time as best as possible depending how things go. I am increasingly more worried that this house may not be available to me for as long as I anticipated. WE are on september - september terms, and relying on my sisters staying here to keep the house is seeming less and less feasable. Last thing I want is one month notice that we have to leave with the car in peices. I will not risk losing it, and moving it as is will be a nightmare.
But hey, one day at a time. I am in the middle of a bunch of sh!t, and would love to get a job back here and come back home. I havent decided to cut corners yet. Motivated to get my ass in gear at the very least.

I know right? Sounds like a lazy excuse to me.. but when I asked, he said they can't be adjusted. They offered to rebleed the system again the next day to see if that could help, as they didn't have time to do it the same day. Richmond Hill is a far drive, and I couldn't afford losing another day of work.

Haha... Here's yet another Mitsu crap service story! Seems like Reza is the only one who gets good service at dealer! I know when I had Stephen do my slave, it felt weird but it worked it's self out! Feels really good now and engages perfect.
Mike, I'd say bleed it again and it might help. I know Stephen bled mine like crazy and when I fired it up it felt strange but then went into place.
Cheers

Ocean helps keeping temps fairly consistent through the year. During summer it does get a lot hotter in the desert far away from the ocean (40c+). However, due to lack of humidity temps always drop significantly after sun set.
