Yeah his exhaust is so sleeper, I've always wanted something similar. My 93 will be getting it, no more fart cans here.

I heard a sunfire or something roll by with a red cherry bomb resonator style muffler.. In my opinion... I think they sound better on 4bangers then fart cans. I think I may go that route. 3" from the flex to the cherrybomb... To a slight bend past the rear axle and then peak it out just past the bumper.

Not a fan of the oem stock looking twin tips. My belief all these years was that if you cant roll a 3" ball thru the entire exhuast and it roll the tip.... It wasnt good enough.

So was the real plan to not move the car for 3 years so you never actually have to take a new picture?

I put a lot of effort into making the exhaust/muffler look as stock as possible. I've had DSM owners not realise it wasn't stock wink Tips are the same size, slant & roll as stock, even had them welded staggered like the OEM setup. Then finished it off with bead blasting the SS polished muffler to give it an OEM look.

The custom system flows much better then the old Apexi N1 fart can setup & sounds better to boot (much louder & more aggressive sounding).

Muffler is 3" in to dual 2.25", no loss in flow here, due the math, the dual 2.25" portion is not the restriction wink

Well it's absolutely gorgeous! smile

Since I've owned my car, I've only had an HKS and MR cat-back then turbo back systems. I've been eye'ing the Vibrant 3" inlet and 2.25" dual outlet for quite some time. But of course that involves some custom work which is on the back burner until I get other aspects of the car sorted first. I'm getting the itch to pull my car out of the garage looking at your pics guys!! VERY NICE!

Thanks Terry! And as for the build thread I have thought about doing one but I rarely take pictures of progress when doing something. It's just before and after pictures sometimes.......

Looks like she is all ready for spring. Should be a beautiful day in southern Ontario today. Believe it or not but I still miss it even though I live in Cali.

BTW those rims fit quite well, don't need to go lower.

Yup, DSM should also be ready in another week or two! New FMIC is hooked up, just taking care of small things like coolant and meth tank relocate.

On a side note, looks like rumor is that 2014 is in fact the last year for the Evo X. Time to scoop one up Alex wink

I heard the new Evo will be pushing 440hp.

But electric assist!.. Hmmmm... Thats whats making the new Mclaren and porcha kick ass cars! Maclaren is running 700hp on gas... Then tops it off with the electric motor pushing it to900 hp. And it will drive around town all day with out even using the gas motor.

The P1 only has roughly a 10km range, before it will leave you "eating a chocolate shoe" or turning on the gas engine.

Ignoring repair costs and having a more complex system to modify, electric assist seems like it would make for a more fun car.

Not bad Reza, but I still think it'd be better lowered tongue lol

The plus at being at stock height is you don't really have to worry about the cheap plastic under engine covers... I had both of mine tear off this winter due to the snow. It's apparently a common thing according to some other owners (who just said fu*k it and zip tied what was left) The smaller one is around $80 and the larger main one is over $200. God damn rip off.

A buddy mentioned that there's an aftermarket aluminium one available somewhere.. but I've yet to find it.

I'm sure any somewhat decent body shop can make you one for a couple hundred. Would be out of steel, but I can't see that being a problem

I'm pro shroud.

The more, the better protection from the elements.

I'm still looking for one that covers my accessory belt from the driver wheel well.. frown

Oh, so am I Mike... which is why I ordered it and installed it last weekend. Now, it kind of defeats the purpose when it can't even stand the elements! It was due to driving on a snowy day where the road was plowed with... tire tracks, leaving the "middle" untouched.

However, $200+ for a piece of moulded plastic is stupid, no matter how you look at it. Steel would have been a much better choice

I see your point. Maybe rally armor or something like that has a mold for your car. I can't imagine steel is better than aluminum if you're going metal.
