I know there has been lots of talk about Meth Kits here. I'm looking to purchase one where I wont have to change or worry about fittings and seals. What do you guys recommend ? I was reading about aquamist and they seem like a good option.

If you really like your car and dont want to risk anything, I would reccomend an Aqua mist kit and a failsafe.

If you cant do that, then the AEM kit with a failsafe. But, be sure to use another inline check valve as the AEM one is known to fail.

My AEM one was okay. I bought it new and it came with a faulty controller but I messaged AEM and they shipped me a brand new one free of charge even though I was out of the warranty time by like a year (bought the kit and never installed it). Eventually I turned out to have a problem with the one fitting that kept popping out and spraying meth everywhere in the engine bay. Once that was fixed it worked great. Not too bad bang for the buck, had it for a few years then sold it to a friend and he's been using it for a few years as well.

I have an older Labonte Motorsports progressive kit that I bought for the Elantra that I never installed. It's pretty neat, it uses a solenoid controlled by the controller instead of the check valve. I'm debating if I want to run meth in the current DSM or not.

Good info boys. Keep it coming. I want something that I wont have to worry about, I've heard many horror stories lol. Willing to pay good price for one.

I'm really liking my Devil's Own stage one, controlled by ecmlink. I also have the level sender in the tank hooked to the low washer fluid light in the dash. Haven't had a single issue with this setup to date.

I was looking at at DIY kit options a while back. There is a great write up at http://www.turbomirage.com/water.html

When I redo my meth kit, I am will be doing this with a solenoid instead of a boost switch. You can set up the meth to activate at whatever boost level you want through LINK, so I'd rather have a solenoid so my lines are always pressurized.

Link activates based on load, not boost pressure. I simply have a check valve about 1 inch after my nozzle and the line is always full so unless it developed a leak the line should stay full and being that fluids are hard to compress, the pressure should be almost instantaneous.

I'd hold off on that, people are having issues with the latest firmware.

Also with a solenoid the meth pump always has power so pressure doesn't have to build wink

I'd have a hard time being comfortable with my pump running for 13 hours straight on the trip to the shootout, that's gotta be some strain on it with all the back pressure.

The pumps shut off once pressure is built, think of it like a air compressor. They only run when building pressure and shut off once the pressure is met, same thing going on with the meth pump wink

So once the lines are filled and pressurized, the pump itself will no longer be running...

So the Devil's Own pump has a built in pressure switch?

The little hex screw on the top is used to adjust pressure on the Shurflow pumps.

Devil's own uses the Aquatec pump, I'll have to look if there's something similar on it.

Another Devils Own basic kit user here as well. I just have their basic kit, ran with the pressure switch for a few years but switched to controlling it with link ~3 years back. No complaints here.

If you want to spend the money, Aquamist makes one of the best kits I've ever seen.
