Looks like I'll be making another one of my infamous parts runs on Saturday July 12th. I plan to leave at 5am, and arrive around 9am.

More than likely my gf will be accompanying me for the drive down but will be dropping her off at the Eaton Center for a day of shopping, while I'm doing car stuff.

I'd like to know if the Saturday or Sunday works best for anyone who is willing to come out and join us at The Firkin @ Yonge and Sheppard..? Say 11am..

Open to suggestions for a different venue.. Different menu..

Heading back that night unless we decide to stay.. Figured we'd cross that bridge when we get there.

I'm considering it but I really want to get cracking on upgrades for the season. So it's all good if no one can make it. My primary reason is the parts I need to bring with me there and back.

I could be easily convinced to do another trip down the following weekend, if there is a a big enough meet.

I'm working this Saturday, but would be down pretty much any other time (even Sunday).

Are there no bars less downtown? I dislike driving anywhere in/close to the city.

Yonge and Shepard isn't downtown, it's north of the 401!

I consider anything within Vaughn, Scarborough, Royal York road and the lake to be a nuisance to drive in, as well as anywhere around pearson.

I find as soon as I pass Whitby.. Traffic turns retarted. For example.. Trying despertly to move left onto a off ramp so I dont miss my turn off... And havinga local cut me off and then swear at me and throw pennys at my windsheild. Instead of giving me the right of way onto that lane. Since I have my blinker on.

There is your problem, you have your blinker on. It seems in Ontario that is not considered "notice of my intention to change lanes" but a challenge. I find as soon as I put my blinker on, they speed up to fill the spot and NOT let me in....so now I pull in FIRST, and only THEN put my blinker on....

See I turn my blinker on and then start going over, I sometimes get honks but because my car is not the prettiest they usually give me my space.

The only places I know that are low traffic are a wild wings, wingporium, boar and wing and Beir Market.
Those places have good access and parking, there's also a fox and fiddle who's parking lot has a bit of a steep slope to get into.

i may be down, how about square 1 area? Vaughan has some decent spots as well but im pretty sure anywhere on a saturday that has a decent parking lot will be pretty packed

Anyone pick a spot, that has ample parking for maybe 5-10 DSMs, and a good selection of beer, food..

I can't make it this wkn either (well I may but it's still up in the air). I'm suppose to be going to Ottawa from Thursday to Tuesday for a slab of rebar around 60tons worth. If we don't get confirmation I should be available though, but chances are I'm working in Ottawa.

If I do end up being here......ST-HUBERT!!! I.e. The Queensway Rotissery on 427/the Queensway area. BIG parking, next to an Audi dealer and Canadian Tire and of course, super yummy food!

For those into subs, near there is a Calfornia sandwitches (or sub, forget the name) and a Priest Burger. Also a minute from there is Royal Meats (did I ever mention I love to eat )

If you're in Ottawa, we gotta meet up.

Burgers priest is damn amazing. Closed on Sundays though. That st. Hubert still open? That sounds good to me!

427/queensway is pretty low traffic on Saturdays too.

Well, Boar n' Wing is near my place, and my driveways have parking for about 9 cars (3-4min walk from the house) in a quiet and safe neighborhood, or there's Wild wings or Wingporium which both have large parking lots.

And all of that is in a low traffic places.

It was changed to The Queensway Rotissery a handful of years ago. It is now called "The Q".

Oh I won't be coming on the 12th... I just grew up around there so I remember that former St. Hubert's well It has really easy highway access.

Yuppers, I'm a regular client there Love the Q, only St-Hubert remotely close to here (other one is in Kingston I believe). Still didn't get confirmation so I may be able to go. Fingers crossed!
