Jay areocatch the hood and trunk because racecar. Pins on the hood are an obvious good idea before too long.

If you aerocatch the trunk it ll pull it down on the one side and fit properly aswell.

Well guys, it's been a LONGGGGGGG winter for the EVO.

With my new job, I'm away from home a lot and it doesn't leave me a lot of time to work on the car. Considering there was some much stuff to do and so little time to do it, I almost considered selling it.

Luckily, I've had a lot of down time over the last two weeks and managed to get her back together.

Only thing left to do is get an alignment.

Detailed pictures and descriptions of the winter upgrades are to follow.

Here's a little taste:

Clearly different wheels tongue

Btw Jay, what hood struts are those? Not too strong for the CF hood?

They are Mynes hood dampers. They work very well with a CF hood. Not too strong at all. I was worried at first, but they are great.

Awesome, I'll look into those. How about your trunk? You have a CF one as well right? That think springs open scarey fast, basically a 2 person operation at the moment.

I ended up taking my CF trunk lid off and went back to stock. I wasn't happy with the fitment.

I disengaged the stock spring system for the trunk lid when I converted to the CF lid. The stock spring is scary as hell and I was afraid it would crack the CF with the amount of force it generates when it opens.

I was going to explore the 'trunk lid pin' route, but I just opted to go back to stock given the fitment issues with my lid. Replacing the stock spring system with a couple dampers would be A LOT better, assuming there is space for them.
