Figured I post some images here for the rally light be Ryan at Rally/Race Development made for us...

We looked at a number of design for the car and one thing we really need to consider is that the car will get tweaked so we the ability to be able to easily adjust the light bar incase that happens in service (re: a big friggen hammer)

The base posts are bolt onto the standard fog light bolts. The light bar the attaches to this post with some big nuts.

The light bar itself is just some tubing that Ryan bent to out the and over the bumper and to a straight bar.

It sits nice and tight to the skin.

On the cross member Ryan welded on some tabs for light mounts

And then we have the finished product.. Head light are still visible but not the front turn signals... We will generally only have the light bar on the car when we need or we risk smacking it up for no reason... We have 4 HID (Hella style knock offs) 50watt lights and a 2 hella FF-75 lights for cornering.

All the wiring is custom with a relay and switch for the two inside, the two outside, and the two cornering lights to give us more control or if we are having an issue with one set we can turn them off and still have lights... As well light is connect via a Weather Pack connector on the light be so we can remove it or disconnect it is causing us grief on stage.

Looks good, thanks for the detailed picture. I am debating on doing a light setup but was leaning towards a roof rack light bar type setup.

You need to make sure you understand what your what your trying to achieve with your lights first...

My understanding as to why rally lights are on general in front or on the hood is you want them low for high speed driving and visibility... we have 6 of which the 4 bigs ones will be used to fill the space down the road and be aimed subtly in different area (off set for crest or dip or long corners) and the two lower ones will be closer cornering lights... also being at the front of the car we will not need to worry about the light splashing off the hood or windshield and causing glare....

I think high lights are for off road slower speed longer throughs... pre runners, baja, etc...
