So i am looking for someone who can do some work on my trans for me and am looking for suggestions from you guys about either a reputable shop or member who can do some work on my 2gb

Was driving the other day and i heard a sound similar to being in gear and decelerating but only it was during acceleration too...totally gone when the clutch was pressed down

Brought her home and parked in the garage to notice a trail of oil behind the car and upon inspection under a small pool under the trans

Lifted the car and looked under i only saw oil on the trans from the cross member to the driver side of trans ... cross member to passenger side was dry

Not sure if this is relevant or even an issue the driver side shaft has some in and out and up and down play passenger side none

Hello.

My bet is that it is coming from the Transmission Output Shaft; the one where your TC is located.

Pull the TC off and have a look.

As for the noise it "might" be from a chipped Gear Tooth, too much backlash between the Front Diff and the Output Shaft. Just to name a few.

It will need a complete teardown to confirm.

Hope this helps.

A chipped/broken tooth can also put a small hole in the casing that'll leak pretty good.

Dead input shaft bearing and input shaft probably took out the seal. Pressing the clutch takes load off the bearing, making the sound go away.
