What's with "enthusiasts" and their unrealistic expectations!?
Saw some random mudflaps on tuners, offered the guy $40 for all 4, since they're used.
Comes back and says nice try haha etc etc, thanks for the insult.
I ask why the attitude and maybe just tell me how much he wants. I was going off prices for aftermarket.
Apparently they're very sought after super rare unicorn dusted fairy mudflaps from 2GAs with twisty sideskirts.
Ooo', so the fronts alone go for $300, and the rears just about the same.
Smoke crack much?

Yeah I told Stephan about that last time I saw him, his jaw dropped Funny enough, the ones that sell their (or the ones they stole from a junkyard) mudflaps for so much are usually the first ones to tell someone with a car sale ad that their price is too high and they'll never sell the car (usually with banter and "lols"). I can understand rare/discontinued...but a mudflap? C'mon. I can make my own either with a cheap rubber rectangle (still don't understand why something like this is so expensive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rally-Armor...74078754?hash=item417d3dd622&vxp=mtrwhen it costs a manufacturer 10-20$ to make :p) or I can mold the originals and make plastic copies for pennies. They need to realize a rare part is something you can't replace or tinker and make yourself. Guys from the States also tend to forget Talons were common here. It's not that hard (and cheap) to get them if you know the right people. They think they're unicorn farts because they don't have many Talons in the States and tend to forget 'Merica is bigger than just the US. Bryan, yes but to a lesser degree. more like 100$ max (if that) for a set of 1g ones. They usually go for 50 in most cases.

Spending that kind of cash on mudflaps.... Why not just get the rallyarmour ones.
Or, do like the Subaru guys do. Get Ikea cutting boards and cut them to spec then bolt them on.
