Project CARS just came out that one is a good one. The whole DIRT series is good if you enjoy rally. GRID is also a great series, that one is a mix of drift and stock car racing.
First two are more simulation based where grid is more of a mix between sim and arcade.

Most fun I've had with PC racing games would be GTR 2 (modded with Shannonville, Mosport, Calabogie tracks) Need For Speed Shift 2 Unleashed after the steering fix and the first Grid.

Gonna resurrect this., GRID Autosport can be had for just under $6 and from what I have been reading is a great game, like the first one was (which I really enjoyed) https://www.humblebundle.com/
