hey there everyone, finally got myself on the forum. first off my names Devon im from Cambridge and eat/sleep/breathe DSM's lol this is my build thread of my 1999 Eclipse GS-T. the background on the car is quite an interesting story so here we go...

the car is originally from Charleston South Carolina. I was imported to Canada in early 2002 fairly stock other the lowering springs and clear corner markers. from there the first Canadian owner built it for a 350-400whp street car. it had an 18g setup HKS 272 cams Wiseco internals and some other supporting mods. in 2008 the car had crankwalked and was put away heartless for about 4 years. the car was then put up for sale and sold to a guy in Hannover. he had rebuilt it to factory specs and didn't drive it much. I found the car on kijiji back in august by mistake searching through on a slow day at work. at that point I knew I had to have it. I went up and saw the car that week and even though she needed some work I put my deposit down on it. I picked it up later that week and couldn't stop smiling as I was boosting alllll the way back to Cambridge lol. the car has since had typical maintenance and repairs done to it. I will be posting on here regularly due to boredom at work and will have some pictures of the car up as soon as I figure out how to do it.

no worries man and most likely, this spring im just trying to clean up the outside. the paint needs some attention its about 4 different shades of silver/grey but shes 100% rust free so I can deal with an ugly paint job for now lol but maybe for next years project its just so hard to do with me only having a single car garage now. if I still had my old place in Woodstock space woudnt be an issue

well yesterday was a pretty good day. huge shoutout to Mike Degli Angeli for hooking me up with my VRSF FMIC hard piping and 50mm Tial BOV cant wait to slap this on my car! I also had all the lights in my dash switched over to blue L.E.D's

just a generic tire but I will be swapping out to a nitto nt05 and I want a bigger sidewall something like a 45-50 series

Your own blinkers or the euro fenders? Not that I'm crazy about the look but I do like the function they have for people who don't look past their field of vision on the road. Always wanted some on mine.

euro fenders but the signals are just taped up its a wiring nightmare in there between the shitty halos and clear side markers. ive got a lot of "cleaning up" to do once this snow goes away lol

I have OEM side markers from Europe.. Just saying, id be interested in letting them go! **cough cough** Devon haha

soooo, little update on my car. last Thursday I had what I thought to be a complete tranny failure. did a little digging and found out that the previous owner had put what looks to be a fidenza flywheel and act 3500 clutch in the car. 2 teeth on the flywheel had broken off causing 1 to get wedged in-between the pressure plates and the other one shot right through the bell housing of the tranny leaving a small pin hole in it... as bad as that sounds it missed all the goodies inside so the bell housing is being fixed by a local tranny shop and a new clutch/flywheel will hopefully be going in tomorrow or Friday depending on how many friends I can buy with pizza and beer lol I definitely lucked out on this breakdown. Im not ready to send the tranny to rezza to build yet lol

whats the weather like for this mission?

I notice the car feels like its hitting fuel cut or its dumping too much fuel in when I step on the gas. it doesn't do it all the time but i'll be driving along and the car will just stop accelerating. and when it does that my lifters start to tick badly. the cars temp is also starting to rise when im sitting in traffic or in a drive through. im by no means a mechanic but I hope somebody can tell me whats going on with this thing lol. the car also has a new head, water pump fresh coolant and t-stat as of last august.

Have you checked your oil lately?

You still on stock turbo? they run out of steam if you start turning up the boost.

yep fresh change last week, I check all the fluids almost daily and still a stock turbo. I haven't turned up the boost on it and my boost gauge is hitting 1 bar. so 14 psi-ish it just started happening out of nowhere
