97 is on the head on the tranny side. You should check out RRE'S site they have some good info on it. Also how it can cause ignition issues.

im not relating this to ignition issues I figured that out it was the ptu like suspected. this is a whole new can of worms I should really stop exploring rotate

From what I read it would seem you have a 95-96 head on your car, but I just skimmed through it.

okay that's what im thinking. but if the cas has the wires cut how does the car run without it? that's why im confused lol

yes sir technically the one behind the intake cam gear. theres 2 little wires cut on it

Thats a 95-96 cam sensor. But its redundant if you are running a 97 + cas

97 cam sensor is tranny side of the head like a 1g CAS its crank sensor is in the block under the alt (actually might the oil pump not the block)

soo completely forgot to take pics but the car uses the 97-99 cam angle sensor still. as I was booting around yesterday I got into boost pulling away "slowly" from a g35 and backfired so bad it threw a CEL. but now the car seems to run better then it did before, I should prob invest in a code reader since this seems to be a regular thing now rotflmao

got a P1105 code this weekend "fuel pressure solenoid circuit fault" this weekend first time with this code and thinking that might be my power hesitation ive been dealing with.. what would cause this??

My fuel pressure solenoid is sitting in a box with about 15 other solenoidss.


11.45@125,
stock bottom end 6bolt 2g head.
272 hks cams.
Holset hx35

My guess.... Is that the fault code is from the fps connector shorting out. And this maybe affected your ecu.

I don't think it's the solenoid. Cause most people delete them. Just unplug the solenoid..and see if it still creates a code.

The sensor is most likely the cause. You can resistance test it. You can also apply power and ground to it to see if it activates. You can also test for power to the sensor.

well.. this is the end of this thread. i still have my 1g i sold my 2g to a close friend of mine and was able to keep the rims and my stereo which is a bonus. i needed the extra money to go get my AZ and finally start the career ive always wanted. this doesnt mean im going anywhere tho. i'll still be doing my bbq's and shows with my soon to be sick but slow as balls 1g and as soon as i get my AZ i'll be going state side to bring back a mint gsx so stay tuned demon
