Ive been trying to find a how to/guide kind of think via google searches but havent had any luck

I am picking up a non abs prop valve and plan to just bend my own lines in the interest of costs

If anyone can guide me towards somewhere they have a breakdown or diy of how to would be much appreciated

thanks in advance

Cars a 2g fwd no known brake leaks so i assume the current lines are fine

ez bend stuff from rtm is super easy to work with, I have never worked with standard hardlines but people say those are easy to work with too.

You will need to do your research on how to flare lines, it's really not that difficult just make sure you get a good flaring too.

Right on point, if it's less than $50 I can almost guarantee you it's junk and will slip or make flares that aren't centered.

I've tried cheap and it's not pretty. A quality flaring tool is extremely easy to use and makes perfect, leak-free flares. Even for a first time user. Just watch a couple youtube videos and practice. Mine came out well the first time.

EZ lines work well too, I had great luck with them. All you need is the proportioning valve, and some brake lines and fittings. Pretty cheap to do.

i used RTM ABS delete kit (lines and adapters only). I used my own non abs prop valve and 3G Master/Booster which were needed for larger brembo calipers. I highly recommend not to take any shortcuts with brakes. Are you still on factory rubber caliper lines?

Alex brings up a good point..

The brake booster from the 3g used with brembo calipers is a requirement?

Says who?

Flaring is easy! It's cutting your lines to the right length with the use of unions can get tricky.

Yes Alex I believe I am still using the factory rubber lines... Never had issues with my brakes had a leaky caliper and that was swapped out thanks to Kyle Dolson for sources the caliper

And to be honest I've driven this car for over three years now and 3 months with the 16g and it wasn't brisk driving either And I never had an oh sh!t moment

Then you need to drive harder Manny ....lol.

Making brakes is easy. A good flaring tool is a must. The easy bend brake line is so easy to bend.... but so is the regular stuff.

Should be a pretty straight forward deletion. Just make sure to check for leaks before you roadtest.

Anyone got an above mentioned "good flaring tool" they'd be willing to lend/rent out... Closer to Brampton the better?

You're right on point Mike, it's totally optional. Just like running stock injectors with 16g turbo. Manny S had a "hands on" experience and the story.

I changed mine after 18 years and they worked perfectly fine but rubber starter to look cracked. Defiantly keep an eye on it for safety. New factory rubber lines will defiantly outlast RTM SS braided lines.

Alex, that's a horrible reference.

I had nothing to do with Manny's engine blowing up. So I'm a little confused with why you would bring that nonsense back up again..?

And if you're trying to say it's unsafe, where's your source of data to prove it?

Seems like an aimless statement and insulting for you to say that I'm "on point".. Even if you say it sarcastically.

You're starting to sound like the judgemental Dbags who rarely post here anymore.

I take offence to that Mr Eng....lol.
I don't read any sarcasm from Alex I think he was just making a reference.

I may have taken my comments the wrong way. Didn't meant to insult anyone. If that insulted you, my apologies Mike.

I learned from experienced members here to get project done right the first time. Otherwise same project needs to be redone over and over again.
I try to pass that experience to other members when they need help. In most cases it involves spending more money up front but it saves more later on.

Definitely agree with you there Alex regarding doing things right the first time minor correction the injectors were 510s lol tongue but yes I wouldnt "have ass" a repair anymore that being said as mentioned my brakes function 110% up to what I've asked of them I've gotten new pads a few hundred km ago so I'd rather ride these out til they need replacing or I feel them inadequate
