does anyone know if the 4th gen DRL module is standalone. my DRL module is not working anymore. I only have 1 high beam working (right side) left side high beam on DRL and both low beams on DRL and full on, also using e-brake does not turn my lights off. I checked the OEM DRL module by the drivers wheel and it's pretty rusted.

I was thing on removing the 2g DRL circuit and replace it with the 4gen with auto on lights, however that would only work assuming the DRL module does not require the ECU etc.....

If your technical at all I don't see why you couldn't wire an arduino to do what you want it to do.

arduino too much work just to get DRL working properly again. Canadian tire has an aftermarket kit, I just don't like cheep aftermarket stuff, would rather get an OEM unit off some other car.

Can you open up the drl module and assess the damage? I know I have fixed hundreds of Honda ones.

when I start my wire tuck, I will take it all apart.

I know for sure that I don't have hi beam on pass side and DRL don't turn off with e-brake (which is annoying)

if I can recall correctly I get 9V l/r on the high beam line during low beam and 9v l 14.7 r on the high beam line when high beam is on.

clearly something is not triggering the left high beam to turn on. I've been searching for the original OEM DRL for the 2G with no luck, so why not use the module from a Canadian specific car that came DRL from the factory.
