Drl = safety..
It's like removing seat belts IMO.
I once T-boned an elderly woman in my '94 beater sentra back in the day, because she didn't see me coming (broad daylight) and primarily because I didn't have drls.
I wasn't at fault thank God. I'm not sure that by you having DRL's that you wouldn't have T-Boned her! I mean if you can't see a car in broad daylight, how would lights make a difference? Regardless, belts and lights are a huge difference. I also removed my chime of no belt on! It annoyed me to hell if I had to move the car around at home! In Europe, DRL's are illegal so... My Warranty is also done a long long time ago but I posted this not to start a debate on legalities but just if anyone wanted to have control of some features.

Yeah agreed, on the flip side it's really annoying being stuck in front of people in the morning with their highbeams on and they are completely clueless.

Yeah true, for me there is a huge difference between brightness during the day and night, mine is full brightness during the day so it's super obvious if my lights are off.

DRL's aren't necessary the issue. It's the illuminated dash along with it. Because when it gets dark and I can't see my cluster, I would be more inclined to turn on my lights and illuminate it. But when they're on all the time, and I have lights out front, and I'm stupid, how else would I know I need to turn my lights on?
The thing that bothers me even more is when the cops do it. All the new Fords they have for cruisers are the same way. I always see pigs driving a Ford SUV with no lights on, just the dim front DRL's. The issue is now that most dashes are all digital/LED/LCD with no actual mechanical bits - or very few, anyways - it's pretty much always bright enough to read, even when it's dim.

Can he reprogram the uber annoying 5km/hr seatbelt chime? Everytime I am in a drive thru I can't have my seat belt off for more than 5 seconds, this thing just keeps dinging like a mad man. It doesn't seem to know when you come to a stop either and you take it off and immediately it starts dinging. I can disable it on my ford f-150 and the Dodge Caravan at work.

Yes one of my favorite ones he removed! Light will be on but no more chiming while changing cars around in the driveway! LOL... Cheers
