For all of you that have not done your T-belt and balance belts this is your reminder.

If you read my post in the HELP ME section I had a weird whining noise coming from the T-belt and all of a sudden the car began to run like a diesel. Well I took the t-belt cover off today and there it was the balance belt all tangled up on the pulley! The timing marks line up but I still have doubts that nothing got wrecked.

PLEASE,PLEASE do your belt so you dont end up in my situation.

Peter,

I get a tiny whining noise, but I have a small hole in my exhaust, and it really only started to come when that hole appeared.. and it only really comes at certain km/h speeds. I am doubting this is the t-belt, what do (and anyone else) think?

Did you check the timing mark on the crank too? When mine went the cams lined up but the crank was off a couple of teeth.

Bobby, sorry I can'e help you. is it rpm related or speed?
