I thought today would be a great day to start the install of my 1G TB. I ported my 2G elbow out to 60mm at the flange, I ported out my intake manifold to 60mm to match and swapped in some new shaft seals . I swapped my ISC off my 2g TB on to the 1G TB also followed by the TPS. ( ISC was cooked on the 1G )Got it all together and she didn't work to well....the throttle plate was sticking. So I ripped it all apart and redid it. Now it runs great.....pulls nice through the low RPM's.

So did it really make that much of a difference? I was thinking about doing the same. Let me know. Thanks

It has to make some difference....more probably in the long run when I make 2 1/2 inch IC piping. There can't be anything worse than a bottle neck right at the opening to your intake mani. It seems to breath better at all rpm's.

Anybody that has seen the inside of a 2G TB will agree that is a restriction.

Swaping a 1G TB is on my to do list.

Think of this...most aftermarket gauges are 52mm diameter just like the 2G TB....pretty small looking aren't they.

Sitarski has one that is bored out to 64mm. I think it was done by RRE.
