I was thinking about going to this meet but CSCS might be fun to check out as well. Maybe go to the meet first then everybody that wants to check out CSCS head out from the meet together? How long do the CSCS events last for, is it an all day thing? Is this going to be another cops giving out lame tickets for everything on your way in kind of events?

Cops around Cayuga are usually no problem. Maybe cause there is only like 3 of them there...lol. I have never had a problem. They know that there are alot of not so road legal cars around, but they are glad they are at least taking it to the track. Just don't do a buck ten leaving the parking lot!!

Last time I was there they weren't showing many people how appreciative they were that we were taking it off the streets.

But who knows things could have changed...

The gates should open around 9am and go to about 5pm or so.

It would be cool to see a few dsms show up. As for the cops, I never had a problem with them and I've going there for years, but then again I don't drive a civic. They set up those stupid road checks, but the only cars that get pulled over are the hondas. So if you chill they have no reason to stop you.

I can't wait to see my buddies 10sec street VR6 kick some a$$ and Pauls 8sec civic.

Hope to see you all there.

Why don't we set up a time to meet somewhere so that we can all take a cruise up together. I think meeting at Yorkdale for like 9 or so would be alright. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

I'll see you guys down there- I hope. Just waiting to hit the dyno sometime this week, to work out some bugs. I think my brother and I want to be there for 9:00am. So we can get some pratice runs, plus we're trailering the car, because you just never know. Last time on the track we lost all the oil.

Cool Chris, I hope to see you there as well. I like the idea of trailering the car, that's a good way to play it safe. You just never know what can happen.

Make sure you guys hit up CSCS on Aug. 18, supposed to have a nice drifting event. I might come out to CSCS this weekend too, depending on how the end of the week goes. Anyone know if they are continuing the King of the Street thing? With the night races/no tree. That was fun last year.

is anyone else going to yorkdale at the "normal" meet time???

it seems like everyone is going extra early to make it to cscs...

i'm sure others are planning on just attending the yorkdale meet but may be deterred by some of the above posts

Depending on the weather, I'll probably stop by the meet. Might head out to CSCS after if others are interested in going later.

They'll have time trials until noon time Brandon. You can do as many runs as possible and then if you decide to stick around they'll put you in your proper class for eleminations.

Okay so who's going so I know who to wait for?

LOL, don't worry Blayne I'll let my RFL give you a good wake up call.

I would like to run, but because it's the first event of the season it's going to be rammed and I'm not about to pay $40 or $50 to run only a couple of times.

I saw them pull anything and everything a few times. Brand new Porsches, stock Sentras, even trucks towing cars on trailers just to see if they were over their GVWR.

To be safe, go in the back way. When you're leaving town and cross the bridge, turn left onto river rd which is just beyond the bridge rather than going left on Kohler. Drive along for about6km, and turn right down Richter (dirt road, 3rd or 4th one you'll get to). Richert will dump you onto indian line road, a larger paved street. Turn right. That will take you to Kohler road on the "other" side of the track.

I wish I could join you guys, but i am expected at the regular Yorkdale meet at noon...business before pleasure, I guess...

Do you guys have any idea what time the event is over? Do you maybe want me to open up so you can swing by my shop on the way back??

Ziggy, the race finals start around 5:30 as they say, but this is if everything goes well. I dont think I will be there that long cause my friend and I have to work midnights. As for everyone else, I dont know what time they are leaving. We established that we are leaving at 9:00am. Lets see what time everyone is planning on coming back. I will be leaving around 3 or 4:00. Sergio, Yuri, Mehrad and all others, what time are you guys leaving at? No use Ziggy opening if there is gonna be one or two of us!!!

I won't be able to make it after all. Suffered a possible cracked valve, spring, etc, on the dyno last night. Cyclinder 2 is low on compression. It sucks the bag, The first event is always the most exciting, tons of people.

Well; we did manage to pull a 388hp on 15psi.

They need more dates? Its a joke, five dates, and one being in quebec. Never been there.

Thoughs that do go- take lots of pics.

it was great, did some repairs at yorkdale and then headed out. the drive there was fun the event there was good as well, the only thing is that i had to leave REALY early so i barely got to watch any of it frown . but it was lots of fun. next weekend well try to organize another one just for the test and tune.
somebody's car from this board was there and i only watched its first run which was 10.5. just wanted to make a note of it and that SICK car, it had a sticker said magnus on it. and sergio said and someone from the board, but i forgot thename. whoever you are, your car hauls assssss

It was Brad Davis's car Yuri. And you missed a good final where Brad ran my buddie with the 10sec VR6 of course in the end the Talon kicked some VW ass.
And you also missed the 10sec red civic break. I guess Hondas are not immortal after all especially today.

We have to get a bunch of people together for the July Grand Bend event. It's suppose to be nuts.

I would like to thank all that came especially Frank and Mehrdad, they were a laugh.

Looks like I missed a pretty good time. There were some pretty sweet cars there by the looks of it.

It was a great time and great weather. Met some other DSMers whom which I now forget they're names. lol. I have a bad memory.

Brads car did well. I'll be out in mine for the next CSCS event. Hope to see more DSMers there!

It was great cruis and awsome time there.
As some of you notice ,there was a 10 sec 1gb,which was Brad Davis's car,and he was representing club dsm.

Ryan Wopereis ,you missed this one, but i hope to see you next time.

Chris Mckee , it was nice to meeting you,by the way my name is Mehrdad , i was the guy with camera.
As i said before ,I have recorded Brad's runs, and some of the other talons.
My msn messenger is :

I can do that, but the files are big and i dont have high speed internet at home.
But if i send it over msn , it will much faster than uploading them to a web page.
