Here it is kids,

July 30th St. Thomas Dragway in london,
Magnus Motorsports and Import Society
DSM vs THEM
tell everyone the date is ours, forget about that summer holiday you had planned this is gonna be the real deal.
With promises from over 40 canadian members and import society's regular crowd, including the non-DSM magnus junkies we are hoping for a severely big event. Pre party the night before, cash payouts, car show the works.
Get your cars ready I'm am really looking forward to it. [Linked Image]

Oooohhhh near miss... I just double checked the calendar cuz I have 1 can't miss wedding this summer and it turns out it's on the 29th. So... I'll be there Sunday although prolly without catching a wink... but I'll have to miss the festivities [Linked Image] Oh well it's better then if the wedding had fallen on the Sunday. Damn you Marco... the one weekend I had a conflict [Linked Image]

Ok ,July 30th is a Sunday... Is this going to be a night-over type deal? This would be a great weekend to go down saturday, take a few runs to get tuned.. then have multitudes of beers while waiting for Sunday...

If so, hotel or campsite? I should think if we grab a motel, we could probably strike a deal if so many DSM'ers will be staying over... but if we could camp right at the strip, that would be just as good for me... As long as there is lots of Beer. [Linked Image]

Perhaps someone should throw up a makeshift website to promote the thing. Sounds like a great idea.

Beers good sh!t. :-)

I'm about 90% sure I can make it down there. I jsut haven't decided whether to drive or fly. Hopefully I can get a ton of other DSMs from Edmonton and Calgary out there... a huge ass caravan for 40 hours would be cool :-)

During the 40 hour caravan, I bet we'd get pulled over by EVERY cop just cause they want to know what the hell is going on! It would be like some kinda biker gang, except we'd all be in cars outrunning the cops..

Someone should start booking a motel near the track. We could book the whole place to have a DSM Central Party Place (DSMCPP). Even if only 2 hours away, I think it would be great to make a weekend out of it. Booking a whole motel would be cheaper as well.

Yep, That is a great idea.. have a DSM event on saturday, then the DSM VS Them on sunday... Drinking in between, car shows, audio competition... the worx!
Marco, is it possible to get both days at the track (saturday and sunday)?
I noticed that the event is posted under the events section of the main DSM board. That would probably explain the interest. We should probably post in the regional sections as well... it will make for one hell of a weekend let me tell you!
Just make sure someone gets the Americans to get us LOTS of booze at duty free on their way up! [Linked Image]

Only fly in the ointment is the Buschur event being back on, July 21st. [Linked Image]

Also, a Saturday event might be possible, but we'd have to race around the regular Test n' Tune types.

Still, London seems to handle that aspect pretty well int he past, for special club events... so maybe we COULD have DSM on Saturday, and everything on Sunday...

So... What's happening with this? is it still on?
From the DSM meet last Weekend, sounded like most people were planning to do this DSM event as opposed to the Ohio one... Has it been booked yet?
