Question 1.) Where are you camping and how much is it costing you?

Question 2.) How far from Norwalk will it be?

Question 3.) Do these campgrounds have websites to visit?

Question 4.) Do I need a credit card to reserve a site there?

Question 5.) Are you looking for any site mates?

I'm still not sure where I am camping, but I've heard that the track allows people to camp there? Is there a cost for that? Are there local places?

There are local places, I'd prefer somewhere with shower facilities and such I'm not sure that the track has that type of thing. Also entrance into the track after certain hours is limited I beleive.

The track does have showers, if you want to brave using them. Im not sure about the entrance hours.

I'd prefer a place with showers too, don't really like the idea of smelling like a Wookie or Sasquatch or something while trying to show off my car wink

Last year I camped at the track with a few friends. We got there on the Friday night and camped till Sunday. You just need to pay for the events each day and yes you can't leave the gates past midnight. I think Friday night it was $15, then Sat it was the same and then on Sunday we just paid for the shootout. It was actually pretty cool because there were a bunch of DSMer's there and then on Saturday night we hung out with Shepard. There are decent showers and faculties at the track also, and the food area opened early for breakfast.

I think we are going to do the same again this year.

I would rather camp at the track if possible. I mean, it's only 2 nights. As long as the floor doesn't have stuff growing on it in the shower, I'm fine.

I'd bank on it being fine Ryan.. since we'll probably be leaving from your place anyway, I'll just chill with you for the weekend. Is Sam coming too? I know Ashley plans to...

I'm thinking I might do that as well. At least that way I have people to hang out with. My girlfriend is coming with me as well. I will bring lots of beer and other goodies, I have a portable BBQ that I can bring too.

I imagine we are able to have a bonfire there as well, but I don't think you are allowed to bring wood across the border due to insects/bugs/diseases associated with that kind of thing.

Anyways who are you guys caravaning down with? Scott and Ghis?

Let me know what we may need and when you guys plan on leaving and all that jazz.

Thanks

Adam

You will eventually pay border tax on the booze. Do yourself a favor and just buy it in the States. When I went down my first time years ago and wasn't of legal age, I just had someone go and do it for me.

Sounds like it, however the caravan is being discussed in another topic.

Yes, Sam is coming with me.

sounds good, I'll try to find my tent. Ryan, if I can't find mine, would you happen to have a spare?

For those that are curious... here's what's going on at the track Sat. night.

NRP Calendar

Might want to find something else to do... Or, maybe not...

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

And for the record -- the plantation motel where we stayed, allowed some of the guys to camp out too.

So, maybe next year, book a camp space with them, and then you can hang with the rest of us. smile

2 of us slept in a van and another brought a tent. Paid 12 bucks on Saturday (even that we could have avoided by waiting another 2 hours but we got impatient) and weren't asked for another cent.

The racing saturday night was awesome. Not just junior dragsters, but real ones and crazy muscle cars too. Went to something like 6am. I loved it.

And the gates were open for a 2am gas run. Minibikes went dry, and before you accuse me of keeping people up, let me tell you my ears hurt from the saturday racing. Tons of people running around on those things that night, you couldn't hear them over the V8's.
