Hi, need your opinion on this...
I just finished installing a RRE upper I/C pipe w/ a 1G BOV, and a manual boost control. Something is wrong... The car loses power and just lags when turbo reaches 3500 rpms on 2nd and 3rd gears. I have tried all different settings on the boost controller to no avail. What do you guys think is causing this/ how can I fix it? Thanks!

What mbc are you using. I also just noticed that after sticking a mbc on my 2g, i can't seem to hold boost anywhere. E.g i set it around 17. Wot..it gets to 17 but immediately starts falling of before it even hits 400-4500. I remember before my mbc, i was spiking around 19 and settling to about 17 steady till around 5000, when it started falling off. The adjustment screw is as far in as i can make it, but to no avail. I'm going to try to stick everyting back to normal tommorrow and see how everything goes.

I'm using the one from Road Race Engineering, let me know what happened after you removed the mbc.

I'd say look for massive leaks. After blowing a pipe off of my intercooler, I'd run into very similar probelms. Make sure all the hose clamps are are tight, on where they shoud be, etc. I don't feel this is a boost controller issue, unless you ahve something really out of whack with it. ------------------ Darin Chalifoux 92 Laser AWD "Fat guys can drive, too!" I don't know if this will help you, but i found out that the steel balls weren't sitting on the spring properly, so i took it apart and put everything back together and everything is all good...
