How does it work ? I know it has a ball against a spring. Is it like a check valve that only flows one way ? Does it have partial (adjusted) flow/bleed in one direction and full flow or no flow (like a check valve) in the other.

It's basically an adjustable check valve.

A spring hold the ball sealed against one side. The screw you turn changes the spring rate. (Sorta like crushing a 1G BOV to make it open later..) You can make the spring "harder" by turning the screw in (crushing the spring) or, make it "softer" by turning the screw out (releasing the spring).

The harder the spring is, the more pressure it takes to move the ball off of the seal. Once it's off the seal, the pressure can then get to the wastegate actuator, opening the wastegate.

There is a small bleed after the ball to release the pressure once you get off the throttle. If it wasn't there the pressure would be "trapped" between the ball and the wastegate actuator; holding the wastegate open.

Thanks

I'm not even going to attempt ascii art here.. hope you can follow this..

Cut the vacuum line that goes to the BOV. Place a "T" here, and add a hose going into the hallman. Once it comes out of the hallman, there is another "T". One goes to the aircan (like the stock BCS) and the other to the wastegate actuator..)

I believe the vacuum line that goes to the aircan is very small. Just enough to release the pressure so the wastegate will close again (ie: above post.)

Can anyone verify all this for me?? I don't actually have one, and I'm going from memory...
