I went practicing tonight with a few friends in a industrial park. I lent my car to a few of my friends and at some point
Martin came back with a horrified look on his face. He said smoke started to pour out of the hood. I noticed the dipstick poped out and the whole manifold and turbine section was glowing red. hmmmmm. I checked the highest EGT he reached on the MASC, and it showed 1680 degrees. [Linked Image]

Anybody have a trick other that replacing the rubber gromet? I'm planning on using a small spring and welding a small hook on the dipstick and the "shaft"

My dipstick came out abit once and I thought the bloody car was on fire. Oil everywhere. To solve the problem,I took a pliers and slightly squeezed the dipstick pipe at the top where the rubber is supposed to seal. Now you really have to pull hard to get the dipstick out.

I have done exactly the same thing as Bob.

Dipstick is much harder to remove, but still possible.

Problem solved for over a year now. [Linked Image]

Shocking when it first happens though!
Smoke everywhere!

I didn't know there was going to be a Shootout in London until you mentioned it. Then I went to the site and read it. Sounds like it could be a good meet. I'm sure some of the single guys in N.S. would like to go. I'd have to decide nearer to the date as summer is usually busy for me with the foreign fishing fleets.
Still,it would be good for Marco,Thomas, to see the face that pulls their chain every now and again, haha.
