I made a few EGR valves plates for 1G 2.0L NT and a fellow asked me if they would fit the 1G and 2G Turbo??? Anybody ever compared the EGR valves between those models???

Yes, the will fit the Turbo 1G. I just removed my block-off plate to see if it would make a difference in gas mileage...

At first I used a plate for the troubleshoting of an eratic idle. (I suspected the EGR to be the cause) I also cleaned the trottle body and the intake manifold. The intake manifold was pretty dirty. I kept the valve off in an attempt to keep it clean as long as I could by preventing exhaust gases to enter the intake.
Performance stand point it made just a little bit more power. Probably because the intake manifold would not get as hot from the warm gas.
I did not see any change on the Air/Fuel gauge.
It is pretty easy to install once you snaked your arm bellow the trottle body. Even easyer if it's off (TB)for cleaning.
I'd do it again...
TX Paul.
