Automatics have way more moving parts! spool valves,regulators,pistons,seals,releif valves,clutches,bands,servos,diaphram springs,planeraty gearset, Hydrulic circuits(input,held,outputs)just to name a few. Theres alot more things that could go wrong with an automatic. Build it right, proper converter selection, proper suspension set up will net you with an unbeatble dragcar.

Automatics are more complicated to rebuild. They also require alot more specility tools. Unless your rebuilding alot of them, better off sending it to a shop.
