Why not just sell the Eclipse and scoop up something that already has a 4g63?

I was in the same boat as you like 4-5 years ago.

I bought my ESi because the price was right and it was in good shape. I joined this forum and learned that they came turbo/AWD, so I was a little jealous and wanted to turbo mine, or swap in the 4g63.

Realistically, you can swap almost anything to any car, with the right amount of fab work. The other things to consider are all the stuff over and above the motor you'll have to source/convert/remove/replace.

Once you see it on paper, I'm sure you'll change your mind.

I had everything priced out to rebuild my 420a so I could turbo it, once I saw what the price was up to, it made more sense to just use that money to buy something turbo and/or AWD already.

Currently, my N/A is a reliable daily driver. Kept up with regular maintenance, etc, and she's been good to me.

Save your money, and just buy a turbo/awd car.

If you decide to take on any sort of swap, best of luck.

Just my .02 cents as a fellow N/A owner...
