I'd like to make a few additions to this thread to continue to aid those with their cooling system upgrades or troubleshooting.

Lets talk some maintenance. What kind of maintenance does a cooling system need? A good practice would be to make sure you inspect your entire cooling system everytime you do an oil change. Things you want to look for include:

-Worn/soft hoses and lines
-Loose/corroded or broken clamps
-Leaks/Levels.

Look at a simple oil change as much more than just popping off that filter, draining your oil and putting some fresh lube in. This is an opportunity to look over the criticals under your hood and ensure they are holding up to the test of time.

Did you know your coolant should be changed every 2 years depending on driving conditions? Eventually your coolant will break down and with our cast iron blocks, we want to ensure we don't allow things to build up in the coolant passages. Flushing your cooling system at least once every 2 years will ensure a long lasting trouble free cooling system.

So, the next time you're filling your beast with some fresh liquid gold, take a second and have a good look at your hoses. The more you maintain, the less you will worry!
