If it's anything like our cars (dsm's), that axle nut can be a SOB, Steve R recommended to me to use a thick sturdy screw driver in the brake rotor vents, saddled in by the caliper and it should help crack the axle nuts. Aside from that, you'll need good pry bars to separate the axles from the tranny. They snap back in pretty easily with some elbow/axle grease
