Racings done for another year and my recent visit to the track was a blast as usual. I was at wastegate boost (19-20psi) but spun a fair bit off the line. I'm was on hankook street tires aired down. I'd like to get a stickier tire or maybe even a slick. Looking at that means I'm going to need some beefier drivetrain.

It's a 1997 tsi, currently there isn't much upgraded, factory front and rear axles, t case and rear diff. It's a shep trans with 4 spider. I drag race 1/8 mile now because we no longer have 1/4 mile and I like to auto x. Drag racing is the priority so I'd like to get the 60's down a bit and be able to grip and maybe even heat up the tires pre race. DSS have front axles rated at 650 which is plenty for me and rears rated at 650. The site says it's for the factory lsd only. I have an evo diff stashed that I was thinking of upgrading the vicious to that one thinking it would be more fun at auto x but grip better for drag. Do the big hp guys stick with viscous to use the 900hp DSS axles too? better for launches?

What's the thoughts on t case for use with slicks? can a factory rebuild hold it's own or need something better?

Driveshaft upgrade, at what hp is it needed ideally? Can you get much out of the factory shaft on slicks?

Input welcome smile
thanks in advance
