Not to get too off topic but I actually think DRLs - especially these days - are more of a hazard than a help. The number of drivers I see with their lights off at night because they think their lights are 'on' due to having DRLs is astounding. It is incredibly dangerous (especially if approaching from behind, particularly in inclement weather) and even when you try to get their attention and let them know most people ignore you or are too dumbfounded to do anything. Many others seem to get all pissed off and then there are the few who actually realize the issue.

DRLs should either be all lights on or only available on cars with auto-on lights (and no 'manual mode' for light control).
