I've got a 2g gst Spyder with a 1g alternator in it. It has a stock computer and is spitting out an alternator related issue. I know that the the 2g has the 4 wires and I'm assuming because of the 2 cut or unused wires is why the check engine light is coming on. I'm wondering if I can hook 1 or 2 of those wires up to something and trick the computer? I know one of the wires is the regulator and probably the important one. So I'm wondering if there's any options to use the 1g alternator with the stock computer and not get codes? If not, I'll go get a 2g alternator. Any insight would be great! This wasn't a mod I did.
