Yeah exactly, the clearances are defined in the spec sheet so as long as the machine shop gets them on the tighter side of spec you should have minimal issues with piston slap.
You may not be able to completely eliminate it but with the closer clearance you should be able to reduce it, and as you know it will stop as soon as its all warmed up.
