While you may not notice if the selecting the settings does anything, one thing I can assure you of is if your ayc pump goes for a crap(you will not have any of the snow, gravel or tarmac settings available). You will notice not having it, at least in the snow.

I also have the MR(so it’s fully loaded with options), and after owning it for 7 years it still brings a smile to my face while driving it. It’s been such a joy to daily drive even though I would say that it costs more to maintain and is a pig on fuel. My 1g is strictly a weekend summer car, I honestly hardly ever drive it, also the Evo X is in a totally different league when it comes to handling. I like the 1g for its rarity and rawness, and yes a few less gadgets to break down then the evo.
